About the Bit
Is your sensitive or fussy in the contact? Does your horse have a large tongue and sensitive bars? Or do you have a horse with a small mouth and very little room for a bit?
The Neue Schule Turtle Tactio has been designed for all of the above.
The Turtle Tactio mouthpiece has a locking link and unique shape which allows the bit to almost float in the horse’s mouth giving room for the tongue and restricting pressure to the horse’s bars.

I am determined to ride my OTTB bitless and this bit has been a huge step in that direction! My horse loves it. Highly recommend!!!
This bit does everything the product says it does. I’m a true believer. My little riding pony went amazing in this bit, I love it.
I have purchased three Turtle Tactio bits. They are really great for horses with sensitive bars that also resent tongue pressure. A really soft bit for young horses or horses that resist the bit. Highly recommended!
We had a professional bit fit because I felt his current bit was not quite right for where we now were with our partnership. This was the first of three bits tried. Instant love for my pony! Hard no for the others. He settled nicely into the contact and lifted up in front rather than his usual curling from bit contact.
The results were instant when we tried this bit during our bit fitting session, I purchased it straight away! My horse has sensitive bars and the shape and design of this bit and how it sits in his mouth is as if it was tailored just for him. Highly recommend!
my horse just loves his new bit, happier in it, more willing with it, it was quite heavy in the hands and we struggled woth flexionand he would always set against me, now we are both happy
Once again, Charmae found me the perfect bit for my sensitive horse. I even use it on my other horses and they all love it. Thanks to it’s special shape, it releases pressure on the bars and horses can only be more happier. A must have in your tack room!!!
This bit made a huge difference to my young horse, who was inconsistent in the contact and needed to relax into a steady rhythm. Big thumbs up on all counts! Should fit snugly so would definitely recommend measuring first be sure of the right size.
This bit was recommended as a comfortable bit for my arabian gelding (thick tongue) to encourage him to seek more regular contact/work forward over his back. He was previously in a thick snaffle, PED snaffle and a sprenger kk - which he tended to 'suck behind' or occasionally 'mouth' too much. This bit felt great from the first couple of rides. He's very comfortable, takes the bit forward happily, and is working over his back much more willingly. He makes icecream pretty much straight away and I love the soft connection through my reins :-)
