Utilizing various pressure points, Combination Bits offer simultaneous interaction of the mouthpiece, curb strap and noseband.
- When rein pressure is applied or released, the bit automatically disperses or releases pressure to the horse's mouth, chin, nose and poll. Because pressure is dispersed, the bits offer succint and effective, yet very humane communication, allowing the rider to use less pressure than needed with a traditional bit.
- Rewarding the horse for staying light, the sliding mouthpiece offers encouraging "free play" before completely engaging, making the Combination Bit an excellent training tool.
- Popular for use for speed and jumping events, particularly eventing. The three ring version gives the rider more rein options to experiment with.

All that it claims to be
I purchased this bit for our Arab mare we purchased recently who definitely hasn't been mouthed properly, she is very ignorant and bullish. This bet has made all the difference. Control is obtained via much lighter hand. The only advise I give is to make sure you do introduce it in an arena or small paddock because the feel is much much more different to the horse. makes a hard ride enjoyable
I have a high headed horse who I believed has not been mouth correctly. He often hollows in the back when riding which ends up affecting mine. I have struggled with many bits and have found them all to pinch the horse which made my problem worse. A friend had a Myler 3 ringed bit and asked me to try it. I did give it a go and found that the horse not only lowered his head the pressure is on the nose more that the mouth and there is no pinching. Best money ever spent. My horse is happy and so am I.
