The Pinchproof Waterford Universal is excellent where precision is needed for faster work - jumping, XC, hunting etc. We have made our Waterford thinner than standard to fit more comfortably in the mouth between the tongue and palate. The pinchproof loose ring sleeve stops the bit wrapping the lip edge and saves the lip from coming into contact with any joints.
The Waterford mouthpiece is recommended for experienced riders on very strong horses who have a tendency to lean and lock onto the the bit, the fluid nature of the multiple joints makes it very easy to unlock resistance and eliminate leaning/hanging on the bit.
This bit can be used with or without a curb strap or equalisers.
