I am SO excited by this one! This bit will be EXCELLENT for horses who demand total stability of the bit in the mouth and rider who doesn't want to lose lateral feel via a traditional fixed Mullen Mouth design. It has a ported design with a forward curve similar to the happy tongue.
The Mullen distributes pressure evenly over all the structures of the mouth, while this avoids pressure points, it does make the Mullen a fairly strong bit. The pressure of the Pivot Mullen is slightly softened by allowing the sides to work independently and therefore allowing the mouthpiece to act on one side of the mouth at a time.
