FlexZ Hunter D

This innovation is brilliant in helping to achieve a comfortable and quiet mouth. Turtle Top™ with Flex keeps the mouthpiece centred and arched over the tongue at all times, encouraging relaxation. This comfortable mouthpiece re-focuses the inattentive mouth back onto the rein aids in order to achieve a soft consistent contact. By combining this mouthpiece with a D-Ring it enhances directional control making it exceptionally good for tight turns during faster work as the mouthpiece should not slide across the mouth. It’s also good for dressage as it gives the rider greater shoulder control on a circle and helps set up the bend when changing the rein or with lateral work. The stability the D-Ring offers along with the clever design of the mouthpiece is often useful for horses that are overactive in the mouth in a loose ring design.

    Stock Horse gelding

This bit provided instant results to encouraging a fussy gelding to willingly accept the contact and quieten down in the mouth. Huge stand out after trying so many bits with him.

My horse has stopped tossing his head and snatching the bit... I am honestly shocked by the change in him

This is one of my favourite bits, great for fussy horses or those with tongue sensitivity. Sits very still in the mouth and the large D-rings help with turning and prevents the bit from moving in the mouth.

Hands down one of my fave bits. My fussy mouthed ottb loves this bit, he used to chomp in the bit, suck his tongue back, get bar sensitive, avoid contact, you name it. With this bit I finally have done weight in my hand, he works forward to take the contact and gets nice and low. The D ring is quite large so really helps with straightness for green horses. He’s a larger tb and I went for a S, it fits him perfectly.

A game changer for my mare. A fantastic addition to my collection of bits. She is beautifully soft in her face and accepting of the contact anyway but I know she prefers a non-nut cracker action snaffle. I've had her in a couple of Trust bits with loose rings which she loves but wanted to have a solid side bit for different lateral work & lifting. She loves this bit. No nut crackers a single joint snaffle, sits off her tongue, she looks for it and is SO soft. I have a horse who is searching for the bit, to sit on it softly all the time. She is a Holsteiner 1/4 Andalusian cross mare if that is relevant to anyone. Would highly recommend this bit for any horse.

    NS Hunter Dee Turtle Top

Recommended for my OTT who is very green. He would jam his mouth closed to avoid the previous bit but now seeks out the bit when putting the bridle on. Soft and steadier in contact. Highly recommend this bit!

    Turtle Top is the TOP

Three rides, seriously three rides and I have a horse who is searching for the bit, no more teeth grinding, tongue poking, he is stretching down, turning softly and has nice foam with a softer looking lip. He is so much happier and so am I. Read the review regarding Andalusian Horses and thicker tongues and how this bit would help, would highly recommend it to anyone.

The instructions that came with the bit were very clear, so there is no way you can put it on back to front. My horse seemed happy in the mouth with it, he usually chews a lot with a new bit, but he didn't with this one.
