30 Day Trial Option

All horses are individuals. What works for one horse, may not work for another even with similar breeding, age and education. Sometimes, the best way to work out the right bit is just to experiment. Bit Bank Australia's 30 Day Trial lets you do this with confidence.

Just trial it for a bit!

On all purchases from Bit Bank Australia you have the option of taking a 30 day trial*. This ensures that after a few rides are aren't left with another bit your horse doesn't like collecting dust in the "bit bucket".

How does it work?

Feel free to have a browse through our online shop to get an idea of the range and different styles we offer. The price listed for the bits is the online store price, with postage just $9.50 to you anywhere in Australia. Don't click the Buy Now just yet though! By using the online shop to purchase a bit, you are buying the bit without the trial option.

If you are interested in trialing a bit, please contact us directly either by email or phone. We will then contact you within 48 hours for a consultation with you about your horse and your needs from a new bit. If you then decide to purchase a bit to trial from our range you will be shipped the bit within 24 hours (if in stock) and will then have 30 days in which to rider in the bit however you normally would.

A small additional Consultation Fee may be applied to your purchase of any bit on the 30 day trial. This fee will vary from $5-$20 and is not refundable should the bit be returned.

If, for whatever reason, you or your horse are not happy with the bit, simply return it within the 30 days for a refund of around 75% of the purchase price, with around 25% retained as the rental fee. So, for a $100 bit you get around $75 back, with $25 charged as a rental fee. You can of course exchange the bit for something else.

From something with a bit more control, introducing a double for the first time, or just looking for a nice comfy bit for your horse we can help you through the maze of the many bits currently on the market.

If you are happy with your selection, simply shop online to receive the bit at the price listed on the website, mostly with delivery within 2-3 days. Shipping is a flat rate of $9.50 anywhere in Australia. If the bit is the incorrect size, please return it within 7 days (registered post recommended) unmarked, unused and cleaned with the original packaging to exchange for the correct size. *Happy Mouth, Nathe and Sprenger Duo bits are not available on the 30 day trial offer due to their softer, more easily marked composition. Bits on sale are also not available on the 30 day Trial service.
